Fun And Learning Await At Sharjah Ladies Club Branches’ Ishraqa Summer Camp
Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) Branches in the Eastern and Central Regions are gearing up to launch their summer camps, offering a wide range of educational and fun-filled activities for children aged between 2-14 years during July and August.

The Khorfakkan, Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn, Wadi Al Helo, Al Dhaid, Maleha, Al Batayeh, Hamriyah, Al Thameed and Al Madam branches of SLC are will be hosting the Ishraqa (Sunshine Camp) at the following Club facilities – Tala Nursery, Layaqa Fitness Center, Ibdaa Talent Center and the Marasi Restaurant.
The camp’s programme at Tala Nursery is designed to hone the talents of children up to
6 years of age, improve their personality and develop their social skills. It features interactive workshops on arts, wellness and life skills, in addition to trips designed .
Marasi Restaurant will be dishing out cooking classes, while the Ibdaa Talent Center will be encouraging children to express their creativity through arts and crafts workshops, as well as exciting competitions and traditional games. Fitness workshops will be delivered with the aim to bringing sports into children’s daily routine, especially girls.
All these SLC branches will also organise field trips and tours to the Discovery Center, The Sharjah Equestrian & Racing Club, the ice skating rink at SLC, Sharjah Science Museum, Adventure Land, and Sahara Mall, Sharjah.
Fitness-oriented experiences and exciting excursions
The Layaqa Fitness Center, which offers a comprehensive range of fitness programmes for kids to help them discover their talents in swimming and sports, will continue these programmes and bring in a new activation, titled, Coloured Waves Swimming Camp to teach young swimmers the four main swimming strokes and improve their overall fitness levels.
Tours to key tourist attractions in Khorfakkan, like the Al Metalaa Park and Al Rafisah Dam, to the Adventure Land amusement park in Sahara Center, the famous Rain Room, Al Montazah Park, Antic’s Land amusement park, Mega Mall and Kalba Bird of Prey Centre, Sharjah are all part of the Ishraqa summer camp.
Tala Nursery will be taking in children between 2-6; girls aged 6-12 can enroll into activities at Marasi Restaurant; girls aged 5 and above and boys aged 5-8 can register with the Ibdaa Talent Center. Layaqa Fitness Center and the Leisure Pool will be receiving girls aged 5 and above and boys up to the age of 6.
Amna Al Shanasi, Manager of SLC Branches noted that the management is committed to investing in the UAE’s youngest, and offering them varied avenues to express themselves creatively and discover new talents during school holidays when they have abundant free time.
She added: “Summer camps are a great way to combine education with fun and entertainment in activities that are thoroughly enjoyable for children. Here, we create a safe and stimulating space where the young ones can come and have new enriching experiences, interact with other children, make new friends and pick up skills, as parents can relax or go about completing important tasks without a single worry on their mind.”
