The Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) has received an Italian delegation representing several fields of technology, in a step to enhance cooperation.

The delegation was received by Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park, and several officials from the Park.

During a meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation in several fields of technology, as well as enhancing communication channels between the two sides during Italians participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, which will provide new opportunities for Italian companies to enhance their position in the UAE through cooperation with the SRTI Park.

The delegation listened to an introductory explanation about the most important features, services and facilities the SRTI Park provides to investors, in addition to its readiness to provide all facilities for Lithuanian companies wishing to invest in development which is considered a vital point on which the mission of the Park is based through supporting, encouraging and developing the innovation system.

The Italian delegation’s tour aimed to explore the advanced business environment that supports investment in Sharjah, in addition to getting acquainted with the experience of the Park and its initiatives to develop technical solutions for a number of vital sectors, investment opportunities, and ways to enhance economic cooperation and build relations and partnerships between the Sharjah Innovation Park and the Italian business community.

The delegation listened to an introductory explanation from Al Mahmoudi, during which he talked about SRTI Park, the most important features, services and facilities it provides to investors and its future plans through a presentation that addressed the most important investments that SRTI Park incubated as a result of world-class services in an ideal environment that helps companies and innovative investments to grow and prosper.

The delegation members also learned about the advantages of SRTI Park and what distinguishes it through its presence in an integrated and comprehensive university city, as the complex cooperates with many research bodies and institutions in the field of innovation, and has applied many experiences with international scientific, academic, research bodies and institutions worldwide. This was followed by giving the opportunity to the delegation to ask questions. This visit comes as a reflection of the strong relations between both countries and constitutes an important and timely opportunity to enhance bilateral cooperation.
