Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF), organized by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa), is offering a unique opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to compete in its ‘100k Competition’, as part of its Start-Up Town initiative. An impressive speaker line-up including Adwa Al Dakheel, founder and CEO of Falak Business Hub and Ns3a Recruitment, Taavi Roivas, Former Prime Minister of Estonia, one of the most digital societies in the world, Hadeel Ayoub, Founder of BrightSign, a wearable technology start-up developing enabling innovations to help people with speech disabilities, Svetlana Velikanova, Founder and CEO of Harbour.Space – a state-of-the-art university for technology, design and entrepreneurship, based in Barcelona and many more coming from across the globe with their profound expertise to contribute to SEF this year.
Startup Town exhibition and ‘The 100k Competition’
From motivational keynotes, knowledge-sharing panels, interactive discussions and workshops featuring both regional and international leaders to decision-makers from government, academia, technology, business and other key sectors, SEF 2019 is presenting powerful exposure opportunities for startups. With this, SEF 2019 is encouraging all entrepreneurs in the UAE and across the region to showcase their businesses at the Start Up Town exhibition area.
The startup package is open for registration till November 15th, which includes a 1×1 branded booth in Startup Town exhibition area, access to programs that help participants find future partners, investors, and mentors as well as the eligibility to participate in the 100K competition. The competition provides each registered startup the chance of speed-pitching their business to a panel of independent judges. Those selected will move to the finals where a winner will be chosen and awarded the prize of 100K AED.

With the aim of guiding attendees and participants on their inner quest, leading them to find their motivations and greatest sources of inspiration to elevate the entrepreneurial experience, Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2019 (SEF) is building a holistic ecosystem to foster and harness the talents of entrepreneurs, aspiring founders and the youth by providing an immersive experience.

These speakers complete an impressive speaker line-up headlined by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Founder and CEO of Alliances for Global Sustainability and Founder of Circle of Hope Foundation, His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal, Founder and CEO of KBW Ventures, Grammy award-winning artist and entrepreneur, Akon and a stage hosted by Mindvalley, the world’s leading online personal growth platform.
