With the inspiring UAE national anthem playing in the background, thousands of students, teachers, authors and visitors from all nationalities joined to honour the UAE’s flag hoisted right in the centre of the main hall of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF)’s main hall, early Sunday morning.

The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) celebrates this key occasion every year to convey the crucial understanding of why a day such as Flag Day is important to its peoples’ development as citizens of a proud nation.

The UAE Flag Day is commemorated every year on 3 November to celebrate the country’s symbol unity, past sacrifices and glory.
