The 3rd edition of International Concrete Conference & Exhibition (ICCX Middle East 2019) will kick off tomorrow Sunday at the Expo Centre Sharjah, with the participation of more than 75 exhibitors from around the world.

The largest exhibition of its kind across the region is being organized by Germany’s ad-media GmbH in co-operation with the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce from 24 – 26 November.

Experts and specialists in the construction field from the UAE, Finland, Italy, Cyprus, South Africa, Germany, Netherlands, and Turkey are set to take part in the event to share their expertise on the 3D printing techniques, efficiency of concrete products, low energy consumption materials, manufacture and repair of concrete buildings, and environmental impacts on concrete and precast, especially hot and harsh environments.

The ICCX Middle East 2019 is also a perfect opportunity for contractors, real estate developers, and entrepreneurs to know more about the latest products and solutions for high-efficient future buildings, concrete and steel technologies, environmentally-friendly construction solutions, latest innovations in construction materials, techniques, and equipment, interior finishing materials, and decoration.

Attracting Foreign Investments Operating in the Construction Field

Commenting on the importance of the exhibition, HE Saif Mohamed Al Midfa, CEO of the Expo Centre Sharjah, said: “The ICCX Middle East 2019 is a prominent platform that brings together the local and international technical expertise in building and construction field. It also covers important topics for concrete manufacturers and all concerned parties with the ready-mix concrete industry in the region.”

“In addition, the exhibition plays a key role in attracting the foreign investments operating in the construction field, which is regarded as the largest and fastest-growing sector in Sharjah, thanks to its great potential in terms of sophisticated infrastructure, workforce, and primary materials,” he added.

Enhancing the Construction 3D Printing Technology

Al Midfa further said: “This year’s edition is attracting companies specializing in the construction of modern buildings from all over the world and hosting experts in the construction technology, high-performance concrete, and prefabricated buildings.”

“Also, this edition is paying particular attention to the construction 3D printing technology, as part of the Expo Centre’s endeavors to bolster the Emirate of Sharjah’s efforts to become a regional hub for all 3D printing-associated technologies, pursuant to the UAE’s 2050 plan to convert about 25% of buildings into 3D-printed ones,” Al Midfa concluded.

The International Concrete Conference & Exhibition is expected to attract a large number of manufacturers, suppliers, and investors from all over the world to enhance their presence in the regional markets and to maintain their prominent position in the competitive market, in light of the increased number of building and construction projects in the region with investments up to $ 316 billion between 2019 – 2021 in all GCC countries.
