The first edition of the home furnishing exhibition ‘Furniture 360’ has kicked off today Wednesday at the Expo Centre Sharjah, with the participation of a considerable number of leading international and local furniture and home furnishing retail brands and stores, with more than 20,000 products at competitive prices and exciting discounts up to 80%.

The exhibition was inaugurated by HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Chairman of Expo Centre Sharjah , and the opening ceremony was attended by, HE Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), in the presence of a number of SCCI and Expo Centre board members, HE Saif Muhammad Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Center Sharjah, and Sultan Shattaf, Sales & Marketing Director at Expo Centre Sharjah.

Organized and hosted by the Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the SCCI, the Furniture 360 Exhibition is the first event of its kind in the country and it will continue until December 14.

HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, accompanied by the attendees from the business community and social and media personalities toured the exhibition pavilions, where they were briefed on the cutting-edge and newly launched furniture and home furnishing products.

Supporting and Encouraging Local Manufacturing Industry

HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais emphasized the SCCI’s keenness on bolstering and developing the specialized exhibitions industry to reinforce Sharjah’s position as one of the most important leading cities in this sector, in line with the wise visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in terms of exerting further efforts to promote this sector, owing to its fundamental role in developing economy, diversifying sources of income, increasing revenues, and stimulating commercial activity and business tourism.

“Furniture 360 is paving the way for the local companies to showcase its best products and to meet with manufacturers, traders and technicians in the furniture and furnishings sector and its supplies from different countries of the world. This would help them establish diverse business relationships and open new markets,” he noted.

Al Owais commended the notable participation of local and international exhibitors, the quality of the products, and the distinguished offers and attractive discounts that satisfy the tastes of visitors and merchants.

One of the Distinctive Events

For his part, HE Saif Muhammad Al Midfa said: “The first edition of Furniture 360 Exhibition has managed to bring together over 50 reputable furniture & furnishing brands from the country and the region, focusing on new ideas and launches, cutting-edge designs, innovative technologies, quality and functional furniture of all kinds and purposes, such as smart and portable products and multi-purpose furniture.”

“This event clearly reflects the keenness of the SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah on easing direct communication between manufacturers, merchants, and technicians in the furniture and furnishings sector and its accessories. It also constitutes a perfect opportunity for visitors to purchase home furniture products at best prices thanks to the major and exciting discounts offered by companies, in addition to knowing more about the best smart design solutions through interior design consultants participating in the exhibition,” he pointed out.

Al Midfa added: “Furniture 360 is one of the distinctive and unique events organized and hosted by the Expo Centre Sharjah in the year 2019, which was marked by organizing diverse and leading events and exhibitions at the country and regional levels. Those events have managed to attract thousands of national and foreign exhibitors and visitors from around the world.”

“The Expo Centre Sharjah will constantly update and diversify its exhibitions agenda, hold strategic partnerships with pioneering entities in organizing specialized fairs, and develop the Centre’s performance and services to enhance its reputation and position on the map of exhibitions industry both regionally and globally,” he concluded.

Showcasing the Most Important Products of Local and International Companies

A large number of the most renowned international and local furniture and home furnishing companies from France, Turkey, Spain, China, India, Australia, Italy, Germany, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America are taking part in the Furniture 360 exhibition.

In addition, a number of major international brands and companies will take part in the exhibition, such as Royal Furniture, Home Center, Jeevani, Evren, Doralex, Happy Call, Home Style, Clayton, Hawkins, besides remarkable participation of local and national companies.

The products on display include home, hospitality and office furniture and furnishings, outdoor and leisure furniture, home décor and home textiles, kitchenware, home appliances, garden equipment, and tools, and camping and leisure accessories, among others.

The Furniture 360 is open for visitors from 10 am to 10 pm on all days.
