TBHF Launches ‘Kiswat Eid’ Drive To Support Children Of UAE’s Affected Families
Sharjah-based global humanitarian organization, The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF), has made a call to corporate entities and individuals to donate to its KiswatEiddrive, that runs from July 24 – 30, which has been designed to ensure that children of families affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and low-income families in the UAEcelebrate the occasion.
The Kiswat Eid 2020 drive signals the start of the second phase of TBHF’s COVID-19 response campaign ‘Support Knows No Safe Distance’, which was launched this April by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of The Big Heart Foundation and UNHCR Eminent Advocate for Refugee Children, as a global call for action to intensify efforts to protect vulnerable groups from the devastating impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic, in the UAE as well as in other nations .
Illuminate the lives of 1,500 children this Eid
The TBHF initiative is an opportunity to celebrate Eid’s spirit of compassion and to share kindness with 1,500 children who will benefit from charitable contributions. Each donation of AED 200 will translate into a gift card for a child in need, which will provide her/him a brand new set of clothes. Donors may purchase as many of these gift cards as they desire for the young beneficiaries of this drive.

TBHF has partnered with contemporary clothing brand RedTag, UAE, for the initiative, and will be featuring the entire purchasable collection of clothing items from the store at its Al Qasimiya Branch in Sharjah. To ensure children can enjoy the maximum benefit of this charity drive, RedTag is offering a 25% discount on the contributor’s total purchase.
Sharjah Charity International and Rawafed Development and Learning Center areTBHF’s coordination partners who will be facilitating the execution of this drive.

Phase I of ‘Support Knows No Safe Distance’ has garnered support from charitable donors worldwide to boost healthcare capacities of five high-risk nations – Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Bangladesh and Kenya, as well as supporting affected families in the UAE.500,000 US$ were allocated to TBHF’s international partners who have begun implementing vital projects that address the most pressing protection, lifesaving and integration needs of refugees and displaced populations across these five countries., In the UAE, TBHF, provided food supplies to 660 families and 1,400 individuals who have been affected directly or indirectly by the spread of COVID-19.
