Sharjah’s Mleiha Archaeological and Eco-tourism Project, offering outstanding ecotourism experiences have planned four fun and adventure-filled workshops for the summer. Crafted to enhance people’s knowledge and understanding of the Arab region’s history, the workshops will be an exciting experience, especially for younger ones.

Through edutainment packages, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) destination is poised to take guests on memorable journeys on which they will learn, make spectacular discoveries and unravel secrets that Mleiha and adjoining regions have been safekeeping for an incredible 130,000 years.

In, ‘Fossil Fun Expedition’, the participants will be paleontologists for a day and learn how to make fossil casts using actual fossils found in Mleiha and seashells from around the region. It also includes access to Mleiha Archaeological Museum. The 1-Hour workshop will be held inside the archaeological center and all ages starting 5 and above can partake in this fun activity. There is also Fossil Hunt Expedition (Premium) experience, which includes, in addition to the above, a walk across ancient sea beds.

The ‘Flora and Fauna workshop’ will offer a crash course on the region’s plants, trees, and wildlife and include a trek around the Centre grounds with experts. The workshop also gives free access to the mleiha museum.

‘Sound of the Past’ will take you back in time to learn the ancient art of making stone tools, the origin of humans, and their migration out of Africa in a fun and interactive manner. Also includes a visit to the Valley of the Caves on the Faya Mountains.

The ‘Space Camp’ workshop at mleiha will help the visitors to learn more about the solar system, the evolution of the universe, the probability of alien life, and much more. The 3-hour experience lead by an expert guide includes an introduction to astronomy, calculating the probability of life in the universe, Basics of Observation, Stargazing with telescopes, and much more.

All the exciting educational courses offered by the Centre are available together in the Standard Full Package, at a special rate of AED 150 per adult.

As a part of summer promotions, 1 Child can take part in the education workshops for free with every paying Adult.
