Sharjah Finance Department (SFD), launched the smart accreditation application at AmiriDiwanin Sharjah; making it the first government agency to have the innovative system place. The application will be used by the management and directors allowing them to implement financial procedures using their phones and other smart devices.

The system was activated after the department’s visit to the AmiriDiwan, during which some of the most important privileges provided by the new application were discussed. Present on the occasion were HE Waleed Al Sayegh, Director General inSFD, Huda Al Yasi, Director of Financial System Department in SFD and were received by HE Rashid bin Ahmad Al Shaikh, Head of the AmiriDiwan.

Facilitating financial procedures in all government agencies

The Head of AmiriDiwan praised the efforts of Sharjah Finance Department in adopting best international practices and implementing modern and advanced technologies to facilitate financial procedures across government agencies. This move aligns with the goals of the Sharjah Government and strongly reflects on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

Al Shaikh said: “This application is highly secure and emulates the highest standards of safety; ensuring complete confidentiality and high accuracy, eliminating the possibility of any errors.”

Complete confidence in the new system

Al Sayegh pointed out that the AmiriDiwan in Sharjah was the first government agency to implement a financial electronic link system in 2005. Additionally, the agency is led by a team of hard working professionals that constantly strive towards growth and development.

He said: “The SFD has shown its faith in the application by implementing it, thus motivating several other government agencies to consider using it in the future. The smart electronic service covers all the needs and requirements of government agencies in compliance with international standards of quality. We hope more government bodies consider implementing this system that projects the Emirate’s strong shift towards the usage of interconnected electronic systems within the framework of the polices outlined by the government.”

The Sharjah Finance Department works to manage, develop and provide cash liquidity, develop a performance balance system, implement integrated and effective financial policies, build a global model in public finance, enable smart transformation, implement seven-star services, in addition to strengthening the internal control system, and enabling citizen human resources. The department is constantly working towards developing a culture of excellence, innovation and management of institutional performance, which aligns with the department’s vision of “financial leadership towards globalization.
