The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, SCCI, announced implementing the remote work system for a number of departments, old and pregnant employees.

The chamber called on all customers to use its smart platforms including the SCCI website and application to carry out transactions without the need to attend in person to its offices across the Emirate.

The move comes as part of the preventive measures being taken the chamber to ensure the safety of its employees and customers and is in line with the precautionary procedures being initiated by all institutions and bodies in the UAE in view of global developments concerning the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19).

Serving the Business Community

The SCCI affirmed that it has trained all employees and departments covered by the decision to effectively run the business from afar without any issues that may affect the workflow. The chamber added that it has streamlined its procedures, achieving 100% in the smart transformation of its basic services provided to clients.

This includes the completion of the transactions of certificates of origin, attestations, memberships, and a number of other electronic services, as part of the SCCI’s strategy to serve the business community through the utilization of modern and innovative technologies.

This would help support the business environment and consolidate Sharjah’s position as the first destination for attracting investments and promoting the economic movement, in line with the SCCI’s endeavors to improve the quality of services provided to its partners from the public and private sectors.

The SCCI emphasized that it puts more emphasis on the health and safety of its customers, calling for the need to mobilize all the capabilities and components to ensure the highest levels of protection.

The Sharjah Chamber also stressed the importance of everyone’s participation in the success of prevention efforts through adherence to health instructions and guidelines and cooperation in carrying out those instructions to curb the undesirable effects of this global pandemic.
