The UAE – Kosovo Economic Forum will launch its activities on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The forum will aim to coordinate efforts and establish investment partnerships that benefit the business communities of both countries. The mega event will be organized by the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

The high-level delegation from Kosovo, which is headed by HE Valdrin Lluka, Minister of Economic Development in Kosovo; and HE Endrit Shala, Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Kosovo, will include government officials and more than 20 business leaders and investors that represent various economic sectors.

The forum will include keynote addresses by HE Valdrin Lluka, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Kosovo; HE Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of the SCCI; HE Humaid Ben Salem, Secretary General of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry; and Mr. Berat Rukiqi, President of Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.

The forum will feature promotional presentations, which highlight the mutual investment opportunities and the economic landscape in Kosovo and the UAE, by a number of official government departments in both countries, such as the Ministry of Economy in the country, the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Kosovo, the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), and the Department for Private Public Partnership Projects. Both HE Besim Beqaj, Minister of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; and HE Rejhan Vuniqi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs at Kosovo, will give presentations that review the opportunities for cooperation and partnership.

As part of the efforts to develop bilateral relations, the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kosova Chamber of Commerce (KCC), which aims to enhance mutual cooperation and the exchange of skills and expertise between the private sectors of both countries.
