Sharjah Airport Welcomes Indian Airline Vistara’s First Flight From Delhi
Sharjah Airport announced today that Vistara’s inaugural flight arrived from Delhi, India. Vistara, India’s leading airline, also operates daily flights between Mumbai’s International Airport and Sharjah Airport. The airport welcomed the inaugural flight with a traditional water cannon salute.
Sharjah Airport hosted an esteemed reception in the “Lounge”, in the presence of Dr AmanPuri, Consul General of India in Dubai, his accompanying delegation, as well as a number of airport officials.
Sharjah Airport was chosen by Vistara for their new destinations due to its strategic location, its integrated infrastructure, and recent expansion that provides distinctive facilities that embody the airport’s commitment to providing the highest standards of services to ensure the comfort and happiness of travelers.
Enhance travellers’ experiences
His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, said: “The launch of these flights between Sharjah and both Delhi and Mumbai reinforce the airport’s esteemed position as an international aviation hub. We are constantly striving to enhance travellers’ experiences, through a range of integrated services within the airport, as well as the opportunity to discover the cultural heritage of Sharjah and all of its tourist and entertainment attractions.”

Strategic collaboration
Vistara’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Leslie Thng, said:”We at Vistara are extremely pleased to start this new route between Delhi and Sharjah and look forward to also launching our Mumbai-Sharjah route very soon.
