SCC’s Financial, Economic & Industrial Affairs Committee Posts Video As Part Of “We’ll Get Through This’ Campaign
The Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee at the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) recently posted a video on the Council’s social media platforms, as part of the campaign ‘We’ll get through this’ launched by the SCC to highlight the importance of the stimulus package adopted by Sharjah’s government to support the public and private entities, business sectors, and individuals and to reinforce projects and business sustainability, as well as to enhance the private sector journey amid the global developments due to spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on the economic activities
The video reflects the Committee’s vision in the various economic aspects in the Emirate of Sharjah and the need to support the qualitative economy and entrepreneurship, and to help the business community thrive by addressing challenges and turning them in rewarding opportunities.
The Committee also showcases in the video a roadmap inspired by the wise leadership to maintain business sustainability and to continue the march of leadership, excellence, and innovation, as well as harness the potential and resources until we get through this crisis.
Overcoming challenges
His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, Chairman of the Committee on Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs said: “The Committee is keen to deliver the best performance as part of the Council’s practice of its legislative and regulatory competences, to fulfill aspirations of the wise leadership and its vision in pursuing the communal work and consolidating the gains in the coming years to increase happiness and wellbeing of citizens and to secure decent living conditions.”
He added: “The ‘We’ll get through this’ campaign is one of the Committee’s initiatives that aim to highlight the positive impact of the economic stimulus package on business sectors and startups and its role in facilitating the work of government authorities, institutions, and departments to encourage all society segments to persist and to overcome the current challenges. It also conveys a message of assurance to the investors and the business community that their businesses will remain stable, in addition to encouraging the current investments to achieve their sought-after goals without any disruption.”
Al Midfa urged members of the community and its institutions to remain united with the leadership to get through the crisis and turning it into success opportunities with resolve and determination.
Future horizons
The members of the Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee; Maryam Rashid Ahmed bin Sheikh, Abdullah Ibrahim Musa, Abdullah Mohammed Nasser Al Owais, Suhail Salem Suwaidan Al Kaabi, Jamal Muhammad bin Howiden, and Obaid Awad Al Tunaiji pledged to the wise leadership to shoulder the responsibility by exploring the future to enhance the competitiveness of the Emirate of Sharjah at the economic, industrial and financial levels, studying and proposing future economic opportunities to enhance the contribution of Emirati women, creating an attractive, stimulating and incubating environment for investments in the emirate.
They have also pledged to foster the partnership and cooperation to develop the financial performance, stimulate the key roles of various sectors, including industry to overcome the repercussions of the current circumstances, and to continue the development of the economic and commercial work to wider prospects to include various cities and regions of the emirate with unwavering determination.
