SCCI Youth Council Holds Virtual Session On Personality Traits Of Successful Entrepreneurs
The Youth Council of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI Youth Council) recently organized a virtual session for its members from entrepreneurs and owners of startups under the title “Entrepreneurship”. The meeting is part of the Council’s initiatives to refine the skills and capacities of youth to unleash their thoughts and creations.
The meeting was moderated by Aisha Saleh, a member of the Chamber’s Youth Council, and was attended by a crowd of entrepreneurs who wish to launch their startup companies.
The meeting discussed the difference between the businessman and the entrepreneur, and how to start an entrepreneurial project, in addition to highlighting the personality traits of the entrepreneur and his ability to analyze the market, plan, manage and organize the business.
The session also included practical applications of the characteristics of entrepreneurial projects, their success and failure factors, how to evaluate and choose a project idea, and the preparation of an economic feasibility study, which prepares entrepreneurs to establish their own projects based on sound foundations.
His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi, Director-General, SCCI, said: “The session comes as part of the SCCI’s keenness to listen to young people and adopt their innovative initiatives in order to enhance their role in serving their community.”
This also stems from the Chamber’s belief in youth capacities, skills, and creative energies at work, he added.
Al-Awadi pointed out that the Sharjah Chamber, through its youth council, is eager to motivate young people to play an effective role and present creative ideas that enhance the Chamber’s efforts to achieve the emirate’s economic and social vision.
For her part, Aisha Saleh said that the SCCI Youth Council is keen to offer initiatives that help unleash the thoughts and potentials of youth. She added that the session was an opportunity for the participants to learn about the main and important steps to kickstart their own projects, whether a small or medium entrepreneurial project, as well as the stages of project selection to navigate their journey of entrepreneurship.
