The Branches Department of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) announced the successful completion of the operational plan for the first half of 2021, underlining that the four offices of the SCCI in the regions of Al Dhaid, Kalba, Khorfakkan and Dibba Al Hisn have been successful in achieving all the goals and implementing all the planned programs.

The SCCI Branches Department has been keen to assume its role in enhancing and developing its performance towards its affiliated members in an optimal way through the launch of a number of vital and innovative projects and initiatives. This includes membership services through the Chamber’s website in addition to cooperation and coordination with the Department of Economic Development and Tas’heel centers to make it easier for business owners to complete their transactions electronically, which resulted in the rise of the number of new memberships at the Chamber’s branches and the completion of about 25% of the renewed memberships.

Following the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and based on the diligent follow-up of SCCI’s Board of Directors, SCCI’s branches strive to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction, among the local business community through the quality of services, and the level of professionalism, stated Khalil Mohammed Al Mansoori, Director of the SCCI’s Branch Management.

SCCI’s four branches were keen to create numerous programs that would help overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The branches were also keen to organize field visits and meetings with the private sector to identify and raise their needs to the relevant government institutions, in addition to organizing workshops for affiliated members and many training programs for branch management staff to refine their skills and provide services that cater to the needs of the business community.

Al Mansoori pointed out that the Chamber’s branches have developed a complete vision and a comprehensive and clear plan for the second half of this year in order to achieve the SCCI’s strategic objectives in line with the plans and strategy of the UAE for the next fifty years. This includes many initiatives, programs, projects, and performance indicators to achieve the sought-after results.

The SCCI has expanded its initiatives aimed at assisting the development process in the Eastern and Central Regions, by developing innovative economic activities aimed at revitalizing the commercial and industrial movement, doubling investment opportunities in both regions, and improving their competitive environment.

On the other hand, the SCCI is preparing to launch the Al Dhaid Date Festival from July 22 to 25, at the Al Dhaid Expo Centre, as well as the “Al Malih and Sea Fishing” Festival in Dibba Al Hisn and dozens of other economic activities, as part of the SCCI’s effort to support and promote development programs.
