The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, SCCI, in cooperation with the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department and the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group working under the SCCI umbrella, recently announced an integrated action plan for launching the 7th edition of the Real Estate Investment Exhibition (ACRES 2020), which is organized by the SCCI under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The SCCI asserted that the upcoming edition of the ACRES, which will be held from 5 to 7 March, will be featuring new a lot of activities to enhance the Exhibition’s status an ideal platform for highlighting and introducing the privileges of Sharjah real estate sector.

A Leading Investment Sector

HE Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi, SCCI’s Director-General, said: “We, at the SCCI, are keen to organize this annual event to keep pace with the economic and cultural development of Sharjah and to emphasize the key role of the real estate sector, as one of the UAE’s leading investment sectors, in boosting the domestic economy which made great strides towards achieving its developmental goal, as per the wise directives and leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.”

Al-Awadi stressed that ACRES is forming an annual platform to support those involved in the real estate sector and promote the real estate projects and the investment domains available in the Emirate of Sharjah. This would pave the way for the real estate developers and investors from inside and outside the country to communicate with each other to explore the new business opportunities, sign partnerships, and conclude deals.

He pointed out that high-level coordination is being carried out to ensure the success of ACRES 2020, revealing a new, clear, and transparent mechanism to ensure the participation of local and international enterprises, in addition to developing innovative criteria to ascertain the credibility of the projects to be showcased in the event.

Boosting the Investment Environment

HE Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Directorate in Sharjah, said: “ACRES has become one of the most important events that bring together under one roof decision-makers, leading institutions, and most important investors in the construction and real estate development sector to learn closely about the latest developments of this vital sector in the Emirate of Sharjah.”

“ACRES plays a key role in boosting the real estate investment environment in Sharjah and promoting the real estate developers’ projects, in addition to being a meeting point for those engaged in the real estate market to share opinions and proposals and to come up with qualitative initiatives that help develop the sustainability of the real estate sector,” added Al Shamsi

The Director-General of the Real Estate Registration Department called on the real estate companies to actively participate in the event and showcase their development projects and plans.

Al Shamsi reiterated the commitment of the Real Estate Registration Department to addressing all challenges facing companies and investors alike, collaboratively with the SCCI and the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group.

For his part, Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group, explained that organizing ACRES 2020 comes as part of the activities of the real estate committee with the aim of fostering communication with the private sector, determining the situation of the real estate sector in the Emirate of Sharjah by spotting challenges and opportunities and handling them.

The event also aims to promote the performance of the real estate sector by launching effective action programs and initiatives to bolster the business community and enhance its role in the economic field, as well as to motivate investment, Al Suwaidi concluded.
