Sahara Centre And Emirates Red Crescent Join Forces In Celebration Of ‘Zayed Humanitarian Day’
Sahara Centre, Sharjah’s leading retail, leisure and dining destination, hosted an iftar for orphans of the Emirates Red Crescent. The Centre brought them together for a meal to share the blessings of Ramadan, and through this generous collaboration, around 25 orphans were granted the gift of giving and compassion during this holy month.
Akram Ammar, Managing Director at Sahara Centre, commented: “On the occasion of ‘Zayed Humanitarian Day’, 19th Ramadan, it is our duty to give back to those in need and we are proud to continue our partnership with Emirates Red Crescent in improving lives across the UAE. This occasion is aligned with Sahara Centre’s mission to care for the underprivileged individuals in our community by offering them a beacon of hope during this holy month.”
Mohammad Al Zarouni, Director of Emirates Red Crescent, said: “Sahara Centre is one of our key partners and we are grateful for their generous hospitality during this holy month of giving. The orphans enjoyed a wonderful iftar in a lively atmosphere of games and joy that reminded them of the kindness and selflessness instilled in all of us. Thanks to Sahara Centre for their continued support and for the gifts that they graciously granted to the orphans.”
The children enjoyed a delicious iftar courtesy of Tike Restaurant, a famous Turkish food chain, and were generously gifted Eid clothes from Matalan, a value family clothes retailer. After their meal, they were whisked to a land of entertainment at Adventureland, the leading UAE indoor entertainment facility, where they shared joy and laughter on the 17 rides and attractions, and over 70 video and simulator games that were made available to them.
This campaign is a continuation of Sahara Centre’s work with Emirates Red Crescent and is in-line with the ‘Year of Zayed’ initiatives that aim at celebrating the virtue of giving, and creating a spirit of philanthropy among the residents of the UAE.
