The Expo Centre Sharjah recently concluded the activities of Ramadan Nights 2019 which was organized in celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan and the ensuing Eid Al-Fitr.

The closing ceremony witnessed the announcement of Grand Prix winner (BMW – X1) which went to Mohammed Hareb Al Muhairi. The final raffle draw was conducted in the presence of Mohammed Al-Khayaal, Member of the Organizing Committee of Ramadan Nights 2019, besides a number of Expo Centre and Sharjah Chamber staff.

With the endorsement of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), the 30th edition of Ramadan Nights 2019 has managed to gain visitors satisfaction and achieve extraordinary profits.

Gulf’s Largest Night Market

H.E. Saif Mohamed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah, said: “We are thrilled to share annually the visitors of Ramadan Nights their celebrations of the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr through the exhibition diverse activities. This year’s edition has carried several achievements, in terms of the growth rate of visitors’ number 23% compared to the previous edition. Also, the event has attracted 150,000 visitors throughout the 17 days of exhibition and 300 various brands, making an increase of 20% of the overall participating brands compared to the previous editions. This made Ramadan Nights 2019 the largest night market across GCC countries.”

“Ramadan Nights has proved anew its pioneering position as a social and economic season that draws the attention of a cross-section of the Emirate’s population, in addition to being one of the leading economic events which are witnessing the keenness of private sector companies to be an effective participant in the exhibition activities,” Al Midfa underlined.

He pointed to the exhibition constant development which contributed to attracting a number of the most prominent national and world brands in the retail sector field. In addition, the event offered an ideal climate full of entertainment to residents and visitors to spend their Ramadan evenings.

He added: “This edition is the largest ever since its launch and the largest Ramadan exhibition across the county as well. The display stands covered the entire space of Expo Centre which is amounting to 40,000 square meters, in addition to offering cultural, heritage and artistic programs, religious and health awareness activities and a considerable number of family and recreational activities,”

Al Midfa pointed out that most participating exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the services provided and the remarkable turnout by visitors. They also highlighted the rewarding profits they got which surpassed their expectations and broke all previous records, in the wake of the exciting discounts that reached up to 75%, the matter that reflected in the increase in the number of shoppers and visitors.

Further Efforts to be Exerted

“This edition’s success motivates us to exert extra efforts to further develop the exhibition activities, reinforce and promote its name locally and internationally. This helps consolidate Sharjah’s position as a touristic destination and as a perfect place for enjoying Ramadan atmosphere,” he added

Al Midfa thanked the SCCI for its constant support to all events organized and hosted by Expo Centre, in particular, Ramadan Nights as one of the most prominent activities of Sharjah Ramadan Festival. He also extended thanks to the strategic partners who greatly contributed to the success of this year’ edition.

A Special Standing

One of the outstanding activities of Ramadan Nights this year was the “The UAE Heritage Village” with a total area of 500 square meters. The village has attracted a large number of visitors who were impressed with heritage symbols, traditional majlis, Ramadan cannon, modern and traditional fashion which reflects the authenticity of the UAE history.

Ramadan Nights has a special place on top of the seasonal economic events during the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, where visitors buy their goods and products according to the budget of each one of them. They also take advantage of the promotional offers and major discounts offered by exhibitors on local and international products, besides the remarkable participation of small and medium enterprises, as well as entrepreneurs and productive families.
