Knowledge without Borders (KwB), the Sharjah-based cultural initiative, has commenced the broadcast of previously recorded videos of a select group of Emirati authors, intellectuals, and experts, on its Instagram handle, @kwbshj, to shine light on their respective works.

This move is part of KwB’s ongoing commitment to ramp up efforts to engage the public in cultural activities at a time when the staging of public events has been curtailed to limit the spread of coronavirus disease.

The chosen videos are part of events that were previously organised under KwB’s ‘Coffee and Book’ initiative, where participants receive a free book upon making a coffee purchase from its booth. The proceeds from coffees sold at these events go entirely to The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF), a Sharjah-based global humanitarian charity dedicated to helping refugees and vulnerable people worldwide.

On Sunday, KwB published the first recorded video which featured Emirati author and poet Talal Salem Al Sabri, recipient of the Sharjah Award for Arabic Poetry in its 10th edition.
