The Camel in the Sun

This story, inspired by a Hadith,is about a camel pitilessly starved and overworked by its owner. The camel’s suffering continues till the Prophet (PBUH) sees it standing under the blazing sun while its owner lies in the shade. Saddened by this sight, the Prophet (PBUH) comforts the camel and then rebukes the owner who immediately begins to take care of the animal.

Written by Griffin Ondaatje, illustrated by Linda Wolfsgruber and translated by Fatima Sharafeddine, this book is suitable for children aged 6 to 9years and teaches themhow to be compassionate and sensitive to the suffering of others.
