Kalimat, the award-winning publisher specialised in Arabic books for children and young adults, an imprint of Kalimat Group, has announced it will be releasing 6 new titles at the 39th edition of Sharjah International Book Fair, taking place from November 4-14 at Expo Center Sharjah.

Four new releases for children include Arabic originals Harat Al Tayyeb, authored by Sahar Naja Mahfouz and illustrated by Alejandro HerreríasSilva, and Dawwar Al Shams, authored by Amal Naser and illustrated by Fadi Fadel.

Children’s releases also include a first-time Arabic translation of Malala’s Magic Pencil, (Qalam Malala Al Ajeeb), authored by Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, translated by Samar Mahfouz Barraj and illustrated by Kerascoët, and Al Hayat Ala Dhifaf Al Nahr, the Arabic translation of Waterlifeauthored and illustrated byRambharos Jha, and translated by Samar Mahfouz Barraj, which features the art of Mithila in a visually stunning book, silkscreen-printed by hand on handmade paper.

For young adults, Kalimat will be releasing two first-time Arabic renditions, translated by ShadiaSheikhani, including Al Majd, (Glory) authored by Lauren St. John, best-selling author of The One Dollar Horse series, and Al Fata 87 (Boy 87), a historical fiction novel by Ele Fountain.

The new releases will be available for purchase at the Kalimat exhibition stand at the fair venue in Expo Centre Sharjah, where the Sharjah-based publisher will be exhibiting alongside 80,000 titles in several languages by 1,024 publishers from 73 countries who will be in attendance at one of the world’s top three book fairs.
