Comics, an imprint of Kalimat Group, has released two new titles at the ongoing Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2020), which runs at Expo Centre Sharjah until November 14.

AdatElaya, is the Arabic language translation of Slovenian silent bookKJE SI?, suitable for readers of all age groups. The story’s narrative created by author and illustrator, Marta Bartolj, visualises different situations to reflect the far-reaching impact of small gestures. The artfully developed story, illustrates the power of simple acts of kindness, making the book an ideal source of both creative and humanistic inspiration.

With Daleel Al Tarbiya Ala Tareqaty, Comic brings the second volume of the French Le Guide du mauvaispèreseries, created by author and illustrator Guy Delisle, to readers in the Arab world. The imprint had published the first volume of the comic book last year.

Translated into Arabic by Samar Mahfouz Barraj, the book features a series of comedic sketches of a father and his two children, and the strange but humorous solutions they apply to the different situations they face.

Comics was established in 2017 to present the art of comics,including illustrated novels, manga, and silent books to name a few, to the Arabic reader. It also offers Arabic readers the chance to read acclaimed comic works from all around the world.
