Azyan Exhibition & Conference: Summer Arrives In Full Bloom
A mix of prominent home-grown, regional, and international fashion houses, took to the ramp with slaying spring-summer 2019 fashion collections at Azyan Exhibition and Conference, a unique event for beauty, fashion, and wellness, being organised and held at Al Jawaher Reception & Convention Centre, till April 21.
Redefining modern luxury with classic romantic elegance, the fashion shows featured collections designed with lace and chiffon fabrics, as well as evening dresses, party gowns with soft waist belts, drop sleeves-attires, and drop frills.
On the rhythm of oriental music, Zeena Zaki, an Iraqi haute couture fashion designer of Julea Domani, revealed her spring-summer 2019 collection, characterised by softness and simplicity. Zaki’s collection featured lightweight fabrics, with French dantel and chiffon fabrics, that are the main materials in her designs, inspired by the classic elegance of romantic style.
Presented in vivid colours like yellow, red, and purple, with black as dominant, Zeena showcased 10 dresses, each dress representing a special romantic style that meets the taste of Arab women. It was clear in the collection presentation that the waist belts are trending for the next season.
Satin and silk fabrics were also featured in the fashion collections at Azyan by Dar Layali, who showcased long gowns, evening dresses, and casual attires, with shining chiffon as a dominant fabric as used in Dar Layali’s fashion designs.
Other participating couture houses included Dar Azzalia, which presented a collection of designs that combine simplicity, softness, and bright colours. Damatio Design, Kenzi, Oryx and N& M Boutique also presented designs with a feminine touch that reflected the femininity of Arab women and the needs of their social lifestyle.
