“Tolerance is one of the fundamental values, on which the country was built until it has become an authentic and robust approach in Emirati society. Such an approach which was laid by the founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may Allah rest his soul in peace), and then the wise leadership went on the same approach to enhance stability in the region and the world, said H.E. Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone).

“Our country has become a global model for spreading and reinforcing human values, tolerance, and coexistence. This is evident in the unique diversity of religions and nationalities living on the land of the UAE and enjoying a good life in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere,” he noted.

Al Mazrouei added: “The UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has become an icon of tolerance, coexistence, and a unique model of openness to the world, thanks to the vision of the wise leadership to support all tolerance initiatives.”

He underlined that marking the International Day for Tolerance is an occasion to celebrate the UAE as well, since tolerance is a great religious and human value, that our wise leadership has made it a national approach and a way of life.

“The International Day for Tolerance represents an occasion for Emiratis to express their pride in the UAE’s achievements in terms of enhancing values of tolerance and fraternity. Since it was founded, the UAE has provided a unique model of tolerance that became an integral part of the personality of the State, its citizens, and residents,” Al Mazrouei concluded.
