Gamers as well as eSports and pop culture enthusiasts have the opportunity to join amazing anime artists and cosplayers who will make their way to the stunning Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah next weekend.

At the three-day geek fest titled ‘Superheroes The Collective’ to be held from November 28 – 30, Al Majaz Waterfront will power up into a gaming hub to offer the full spectrum of casual and retro gaming, eSports, and board games in a bid to connect the passionate gaming communities in the UAE.

The event will be held from 5pm to 10pm next to Al Rawi Café at Al Majaz Waterfront.

Marwa Obaid Al Shamsi, General Manager of Al Majaz Waterfront, said, “‘Superheroes The Collective’ will be a full blown gaming bonanza weekend. It’s a community event we have designed to celebrate the love and passion, especially the UAE’s young generations, have for technology, art, anime and cosplay. At Majaz Waterfront, we are committed to delivering the best of leisure and entertainment activities, and hosting this exciting new event will allow us to expand our visitor base and attract the growing gaming community in the UAE.”

Amongst the key attractions at the event is the eSport tournament, a gaming competition that tests skills in select games in both X-Box and PlayStation. Top eight winners will be announced on the concluding day of the event.

Visitors can also play several classic international favourites games at Retro consoles, including Atari, Sega, Nintendo and Gameboy, and also try their expertise at board gaming. The event will also feature Game Development workshops, to enable participants to delve deeper into the fascinating process of how games are developed.

‘Superheroes The Collective’ will be a haven for creativity as local anime artists and doll-making artists will showcase some of their best game-inspired creations in live demo sessions. Those looking to get creative can also enjoy activities such as modelling of action figures, and arts and craft sessions.

The event will also set the stage for local musicians to take their talents to a larger audience. In addition, the venue will be packed with superheroes and fiction characters who will offer amazing live entertainment.

Tickets to the event are priced at AED 25.
