The eagerly anticipated new season of #letsmajaz is back,and set to open at the Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah on February 5, with a grand celebration of the rich musical traditions of Iraq.Artists Ali Jassim, Mustafa Al Abdullah, and Mahmoud Al Turki will bring the stage alive for their UAE fans with their most popular songs, setting the tone for an entire season of soul-stirring live musical performances under the stars at the breath-taking open-air venue in Sharjah.

The concert will be sponsored by Al-Rabaa Radio, where Ali Jassim will perform his masterpiece Yama Al Shok, along with other hits including OreedAs’alak and Akhbarak, while Mustafa Al Abdullah will wow the audience with a selection of fan favourites that include YaKoni, Mfarfesh, and Habibi Al Ghali.Mahmoud Al Turki’s oeuvre will comprise hits like Hob waIhsas, Domni, andYa Habibi.

The Iraqi singers will share the stage to perform their colossal hit Ta’al.

Commenting on the upcoming season of #letsmajaz, Tariq Saeed Allay, Director of Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) said: “Art and entertainment have a long legacy of inspiring hope and positivity in people during challenging times. With the new season of #letsmajaz, we seek to once again give lovers of music and live entertainment an opportunity to experience art and culture in Sharjah in a public setting. By showcasing a trio of artists, whose talent has left a distinct imprint in the Arab world and beyond, we hope we will be able to enliven the hearts and souls of the UAE community for the new year.”

He added: “With the new season of #letsmajaz at Sharjah’s premier destination for events and concerts, we embark on a new journey of bringing together cultural enthusiasts to enjoy memorable evenings dedicated to a celebration of our region’s rich musical repertoire. The inaugural concert led by leading Iraqi artists will certainly set the tone for this season.”

The Al Majaz Amphitheatre management stated that preparations for the new season are complete and in line with the UAE’s stringent precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. They include sterilisation of the premises, installation of sterilisation gates, and provision of face masks, among others.
