H.E. Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams) participated in the Digital edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) for a panel discussion to talk about SEZs and their global role post-COVID. Al Midfa joined other panellists to discuss digitalization, Industry 4.0, how SEZs can help reach broader economic development goals, and how SEZs around the world have responded differently to the global pandemic.

On behalf of Sharjah Media City (Shams), Al Midfa explained how the free zone had introduced a number of initiatives to extend support to government and private entities, various business sectors, and individual entrepreneurs, and had seen a positive increase in business in 2020.
