Talented members of Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah (Sajaya) shared their skills with the audience through live graffiti painting at E88 Food and Shopping Festival, organised by Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre (‘JRCC’) till January 4, 2020.

Inspired by the festival’s theme ‘Dine, Meet and Shop’, the girls turned the E88 market’s five walls into a live canvas with their graphic images that reflected their creativity and unique culture. Their graffiti artworks added a new artistic dimension to the event and attracted the visitors with their bright colours.

In a series of stage activities, held every Saturday from 7pm to 8pm, members of Sajaya also showcased their diverse skills in art and music.

In the popular Art Challenge, a member of the audience was invited to replicate a painting done by a Sajaya artist while Kahoot!, an interactive, multiple-choice quiz challenge, allowed the entire audience to join the digital-format game and enhance their learning by answering questions about Sajaya.

Live music by trained piano players from Sajaya provided entertainment for the audience at E88 Market.

Samar Hussain, Senior Art instructor at Sajaya, said: “Our participation is part of the art activities of the E88 Food & Shopping Festival. Our members showcased their creative talents through colourful graffiti paintings which align with the theme of the event. Our young members were also excited at the opportunity to display their musical and artistic skills in the vibrant E88 Market.”
