The Child Safety Department (CSD), an affiliate of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA) is hosting Sheikh Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi, aka the ‘Green Sheikh’, in a discussion titled ‘Inspiring Children’ on Wednesday, April 29, at 10:30 pm.

Moderated by TV presenter Diala Ali, the talk will centre around the importance of constructive and inspirational dialogue between parents and children.

The session will shine light on efficacious strategies parents can adopt to plan and organise their kids’ leisure hours in a way that contributes to developing positive behaviours in them, encourages them to take up more responsibilities at home, and nurtures their talents.

Al Nuaimi will offer parents advice on self-control and stress-management when dealing with children during the stay-at-home period, as the UAE government tackles the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The live talk will be hosted on CSD’s Instagram account @childsafetyuae. Parents and those interested can follow the account to attend the session.

Hanadi Saleh Al Yafei, Director of CSD, said: “Current circumstances have exposed parents to new pressures in caring for their children as the home transforms into their school, playground and social space. Parents have to engage with their kids round-the-clock through all of it. Furthering our social responsibility to supporting parents, especially in light of these challenging times, this live talk with the inspirational Green Sheikh has been designed to transform the challenge into an opportunity for parents to strengthen their bond with their children and inspire them to be positive and productive while ensuring their safety at home.”
