DFDC Carries Out Change Management Project Initiatives (Gaith)
The Department of Family Development Centers (DFDC) of the institutions of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, today organized a motivational session entitled (The easiest way to achieve mental health).
Held at the Sharjah Ladies Club, the session is presented by Dr. Hala Al Ablam, Certified Life Coach Consultant, in the presence of Her Excellency Moudhi Al Shamsi, Head of Department of Family Development Centres, and a number of employees of the department and its subsidiaries.
This session is one of the initiatives of the first phase of Change Management (Gaith) including the re-engineering of processes and procedures. The event aims to spread the culture of change and stimulate employees to take part in the change process.
Her Excellency Moudhi Al Shamsi said: “We realized the need to re-engineer our operations to reach a new formula consistent with the changes and developments of our today’s family reality. The change comprises all aspects of work, including research management, studies, community involvement, and key processes. We have also identified all challenges and difficulties to improve and amend them and put plans to help us overcome all obstacles. Our primary goal was and still the human, and with every step we take we keep this goal in mind. ”
In turn, Hessa Al Marzouqi – Project Manager, First Phase of Change Management, stressed the need to enhance interaction with employees to enable the process of change in a smooth and seamless way that reflects the objectives of the project and streamlines the mechanism of its implementation in cooperation with all parties concerned.
Al Marzouqi added: “This session is based on analyzing aspects of change and considering problems that can be faced in the employee’s daily routine. The process begins with the formation of workgroups to develop a strategic plan for managing change and then implementing it, through the knowledge they have learned. Such sessions are a perfect opportunity for the participants to learn about the leaders of change and their successful experiences. ”
Commenting on the session outcomes, Dr. Hala Al Ablam said: “If you want your employees to arrive on time and stay until they get their work done, give them time for fun and encourage fun at work and allow them to take breaks.”
“Everyone needs to feel appreciated, and creative people are not different from others. In fact, the more their accomplishments, the greater they want to be appreciated,” she concluded.
