The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, SCCI, has recently announced the launch of the activities of the 3rd Come on Kerala, the annual trade and cultural show, which is held, in collaboration with Gulf Madhiamam Newspaper, at the Expo Centre Sharjah from January 30 to February 1, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

This was stated during a press conference held today Tuesday at the SCCI headquarters, in the presence of Abdul Aziz Shattaf, SCCI’s Assistant General Director, Members Services Sector and SEDC’s Director, VK Hamzah Abbas, Chief Editor, Gulf Madhyamam, Jamal Bu Zinjal, Head of Media Department at SCCI and representatives of participating and sponsors of the biggest event ever in the Middle East.

Developing Trade and Cultural Exchange

“Come on Kerala has become one of the important shows owing to its contribution to developing the trade and cultural exchange between the Emirate of Sharjah and Kerala. This reflects the SCCI’s keenness on sponsoring such an event to reinforce the economic ties between the two countries and pushing it towards advanced stages and broader prospects for enhancing and expanding cooperation in various fields,” said Abdul Aziz Shattaf.

“Also, our sponsorship of this event stems from the SCCI’s keenness on expanding its partnerships and relationships with various economic entities in the Emirate of Sharjah and with its counterparts from the friendly countries as well. Our aim is to attract the international events to be held in Sharjah, which has become a global hub for exhibitions and conferences industry,” he added.

He stressed that the SCCI will provide all the support for the success of the 3rd edition of Come on Kerala Show, noting that the previous two editions have managed to achieve an outstanding success after having been visited by over 200,000 visitors.

Various Activities

The three-day event will be featuring diverse events and activities including the Business Conclave Forum, healthcare and trade exhibitions.

Besides, this’s years edition will be seeing the launch of Women Excellence Awards, Kerala cuisine festival, and cookery contests, as well as various cultural programs that will serve as an ideal platform for exchanging ideas and cultures between visitors and exhibitors.
