The 22nd edition of the International Education Show opened today at Expo Centre Sharjah, bringing together educational and academic institutions representing more than 20 study destinations worldwide. The show offers a diverse range of university programmes, academic specialisations and higher education options, enabling students and parents to explore available educational opportunities and admission requirements.
The show was inaugurated by H.E. Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah. The opening was attended by Dr Aisha Mohammed Obeid Boukhater Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research, alongside a number of officials and representatives of participating educational authorities, organisations and institutions.
Following the opening ceremony, attendees toured the exhibition halls, exploring the participating institutions’ stands and the programmes and specialisations offered by universities and academic institutions. They also learned about available study opportunities and admission requirements and engaged directly with institutional representatives to discuss the programmes on offer and the various academic pathways available.
H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa said that the International Education Show continues to provide a platform connecting academic institutions with students and parents, offering them the opportunity to explore a wide range of educational options and make informed decisions about pursuing higher education and choosing specialisations that align with their aspirations.
Al Midfa said: “The International Education Show serves as a vital link between academic institutions and students, enabling them to explore university programmes and specialisations, compare available options and engage directly with educational institutions to learn about admission requirements and different academic pathways. At Expo Centre Sharjah, we are committed to further developing the show and attracting a diverse range of educational institutions, enhancing its value for students and parents and providing them with the information they need to plan their academic and professional journeys with confidence and clarity.”
The show is organised by Expo Centre Sharjah, with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sharjah Private Education Authority, and in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research. Running until 13 October, the event provides a platform for direct engagement between students and educational institutions, highlighting academic programmes and opportunities for further study.
