Heart Of Sharjah Treats Children To A Sweet Surprise On Mid-Sha’ban Event “Hag Al Leila”
Heart of Sharjah has celebrated Hag Al Leila (middle of Sha’ban) – the traditional pre-Ramadan ritual, which marks the arrival of the Holy Month. It was all chocolate and candy along with a walk down the memory lane to revisit a glorious past built by the nation’s ancestors for the children who partook in these sweet celebrations.
Heart of Sharjah, the historical restoration project by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), hosted an event for children in Souq Al Shanasiyah to celebrate “Hag Al Leila”. The children wore traditional clothes and were introduced to some games from the older generation, while having their faces painted and playing traditional songs in the background, and concluded their visit by receiving candy bags.
Similar to this, Heart of Sharjah invests in such cultural events to raise the UAE youth’s awareness about Emirati and Arab history and heritage, by bringing them to this authentic destination, while offering them an opportunity to explore the museums, centers and traditional souqs in this historical area.
