Al Qasba is in steady preparations to host Reflection, the first of-its-kind outdoor art festival in the emirate of Sharjah, from 20 – 31 December. The event offers a unique platform to artists, sculptors, photographers and musicians to showcase their talents and creativity at Sharjah’s premier tourist, leisure and family destination.

Those in the field of photography, painting, sculpture making, origami, performing arts, installation art, audiovisual, and other creative fields have been welcomed by organisers to email their applications to reflection@AlQasba.ae, before October 27.

1. Meet artists from the region

The festival has so far confirmed participation of many artists from different emirates. Registrations are open until Oct 27 for artists who want to showcase their works Through the platform provided by Al Qasba. And it’s also a great opportunity to meet their contemporaries and broaden their network.

2. Connect with important cultural and art foundations in the country

Reflections offers artists with the opportunity to build good relationships with various cultural and art organisations and entities in Sharjah. It paves the way for them to join the annual events hosted by the emirate such as Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, Sharjah International Children Film Festival, Sharjah International Book Fair, Sharjah Biennial, Sharjah Theatre Festival, and other events and festivals taking place in Sharjah and the UAE.

Participants will be able to showcase their artworks to an audience from more than 200 nationalities with different cultures, languages and artistic tastes and preferences.

4. New skills and insight will be gained through workshops and discussion sessions

The 12-day festival’s agenda is filled with workshops and discussion sessions covering all types of arts, culture, music and knowledge to help artists develop professional skills in painting, sculpture and modern music technology. The festival hosts an array of music and art leaders as well as representatives of cultural organizations, with aims to improve participants’ knowledge about various types of art.
